Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8, ESV 

Theme: Cross-reference your thoughts to the Word of God, allowing God to change any inconsistencies revealed within you. 

Today’s Scripture: “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Christ Jesus.” 1 Peter 1:13 ESV. 

Theme: Prepare your mind and thoughts by centering them on the grace and hope provided through Jesus. 

Today’s Scripture: “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1, ESV 

Theme: Because you are free in Christ, you don’t have to submit to intrusive or enslaving thoughts.  

Today's Scripture: "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ," 2 Corinthians 10:5, ESV  

Theme: To better control our thoughts, we must first examine them closely.  

Today's Scripture: "...throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy." Ephesians 4:22-24, NLT  

Theme: You must add new, godly thoughts to begin removal of the old, negative thoughts.
