Today's Scripture: “For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 11:2, ESV 

Theme: Just as a marriage relationship is exclusive by design, so too is our relationship with God. 

Today’s Scripture: “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29, ESV 

Theme: Our God is a consuming fire that cannot be shaken – He is worthy of acceptable worship, reverence, and awe. 

Today's Scripture: “Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?” 1 Corinthians 10:22, ESV 

Theme: Considering God’s strength compared with our own weakness is reason enough not to provoke Him. 

Today’s Scripture: “I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.” Isaiah 42:8, ESV 

Theme: Only His Name is worthy of glory and honor. 

Today's Scripture: “You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you— for the Lord your God in your midst is a jealous God—lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.” Deuteronomy 6:14-15, ESV
