Discussion Guide Summary
This week in Hot Ones, we explored one of the hottest topics in our culture, the idea of personal rights. Our world teaches us to protect our freedoms, defend our preferences, and fight for what we're entitled to, but Jesus points us toward something greater. Instead of asking, "What am I owed?" followers of Christ ask, "How can I love and serve others?" Christian maturity isn't measured by how strongly we defend our rights, but by how willingly we lay them down when it helps others see Jesus.
What you will need: A Bible or your Bible app, a notebook, pen, and highlighter. The verses highlighted below are linked so that you can easily access them during your study time.

Turning Down the Heat (Action Step)
Action Step: This week, if you find yourself becoming defensive, offended, or determined to get your way, pause before reacting. Ask God to help you choose the response that best reflects the love and humility of Jesus, even if it means laying down a preference or putting someone else’s needs before your own. Look for one intentional opportunity to serve, extend grace, or choose unity.
