Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4, ESV  

Theme: Be humble, not ambitious. Love, serve, and sacrifice for others in humility to honor God.  

Today's Scripture: “Then Jesus told his disciples, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.’” Matthew 16:24-25, ESV  

Theme: Like Jesus, we are called to take up a burden, give our whole lives, and find something even better – real life.  

Today’s Scripture: “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.” Ecclesiastes 4:9, ESV 

Theme: Working together brings success and honors God. 

Today’s Scripture: “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.” I Corinthians 12:12-13, ESV 

Theme: Let go of your agenda and cooperate based on mutual belief in One God. 

Today's Scripture: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8, ESV 

Theme: Salvation is a gift, bought and paid for by God and available to all.
