Today's Scripture: “So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.” Matthew 7:17, ESV  

Theme: The spiritual good or bad “fruit” we bear indicates our spiritual health or sickness. They are directly correlated.  

Today's Scripture: “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:20-21, NLT 

Theme: Actions indicate allegiance; those following Jesus and entering His kingdom are doing the Father’s will here and now.  

Today’s Scripture: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?” Matthew 7:15-16, ESV 

Theme: Beware of charismatic, flashy Christians (including yourself) who don't live humble lives, filled with spiritual “fruit.” 

Today’s Scripture: “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:13-14, ESV 

Theme: We need to avoid the “wide, easy gate” and instead enter the hard way, by the “narrow gate” that leads to life. 

Today's Scripture: "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money." Matthew 6:24 

Theme: Having the right perspective about Who we serve helps us to take our next right step.
