Today's Scripture: “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:20-21, NLT 

Theme: Actions indicate allegiance; those following Jesus and entering His kingdom are doing the Father’s will here and now.

Tuesday - VERIFIED SOURCE

Today’s Scripture: Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?” Matthew 7:15-16, ESV 

Theme: Beware of charismatic, flashy Christians (including yourself) who don't live humble lives, filled with spiritual “fruit.”

Monday - NARROW IS THE WAY

Today’s Scripture: “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” Matthew 7:13-14, ESV 

Theme: We need to avoid the “wide, easy gate” and instead enter the hard way, by the “narrow gate” that leads to life.
