Theme: Barak fought Sisera’s army alongside Deborah, knowing that the victory of the defeat would not belong to him.

Theme: Though people suffer consequences because we are flawed, stiff-necked, and rebellious, God remains faithful, continually offering redemption.

Today’s Scripture: “And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.’” Numbers 20:12 

Theme: When we prioritize how we look to others over obeying God exactly, there are consequences; yet God remains faithful.

Wednesday - THE TRAP OF PRIDE

Today's Scripture: “Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, ‘Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?’” Numbers 20:10, ESV 

Theme: Due to their pride and anger, Moses and Aaron chose to elevate themselves, taking credit for providing water rather than following God’s specific instructions.
