Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” Psalms 50:23, NLT 

Theme: Worship costs us our preferences. When we thank God, even when our situation is not ideal, it is an honoring sacrifice of worship. 

Today's Scripture: “Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.” Hebrews 13:15, NLT  

Theme: Remaining in your comfort zone does not show devotion; allow your worship to reach a point of sacrifice. 

Today’s Scripture: “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12: 28-29 [ESV]  

Theme: Let us offer reverent, acceptable worship to our all-powerful God. 

Today's Scripture: “And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn.” 2 Samuel 6:14-15, ESV  

Theme: We are not really worshiping God if we are overly concerned about what others will think or how we appear.  

Today's Scripture: “So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.” Psalm 63:4, ESV 

Theme: Our postures, including lifted hands, show an attitude of worship that will benefit us and bless the Lord our God.
