Tuesday - LOVE GOD, LOVE YOUR BROTHER

Today’s Scripture: “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.” I John 4:20, ESV 

Theme: We show our love for God by our love in relationships, not our judgment and hatred. We can’t love God when we continue to hate people.

Monday - STOP COUNTING

Today's Scripture: “Then Peter came up and said to him, ‘Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.’” Matthew 18:21-22, ESV   

Theme: We often try to find the limit to grace and forgiveness; Jesus reminds us to generously forgive until we quit counting.

Today's Scripture: “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21, ESV  

Theme: Jesus walked the line perfectly, saving anyone while neither condoning sin nor condemning people, He gave His life as a ransom.

Thursday - THE POWER OF PERSISTENCE

Today's Scripture: "My dear brothers and sisters, if someone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back, you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins." James 5:19-20, ESV 

Theme: The purpose of standing firmly against sin is ultimately to restore and return a brother or sister from death to life.
