Today’s Scripture: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” Matthew 5:17, ESV 

Theme: Jesus validates, expands, and fulfills the Law. By His death, He released us from the punishment of the Law. 

Today's Scripture: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14, ESV 

Theme: Jesus was the “Light,” contrasting with society and culture. When we are His, we too reflect that “light.”  

Today’s Scripture: “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” Matthew 5:13, ESV 

Theme: Jesus calls us the salt of the earth; believers are meant to be different and stand out. 

Today's Scripture: “God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9, NLT 

Theme: Peacemakers are blessed by God as they continue the hard work to make peace. 

Today’s Scripture: “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Matthew 5:7, NLT 

Theme: Just as God forgives us when we forgive others, His mercy is shown when we show His mercy to others.
