Today's Scripture: “For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” Romans 3:22b-24, ESV  

Theme: Because we all fall short of the glory of God, only His grace justifies us through Jesus Christ when we receive the free gift of His love.

Today's Scripture: “For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.” Romans 3:20, ESV 

Theme: The law shows us how far we miss the mark. All people fall short.

Wednesday - INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

Today’s Scripture: “For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.” Romans 2:28-29, ESV 

Theme: It’s not the outside but the inside that counts. The Lord looks at the heart.

Tuesday - JUST A LITTLE

Today’s Scripture: “Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?.... He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.” Romans 2:3,6-8, ESV 

Theme: God judges everyone by their actions and their intentions. Seek Him, not your own rebellious way.

Monday - NATURE ALLOWS ANYONE TO PERCEIVE GOD

Today's Scripture: “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” Romans 1:20-21, ESV  

Theme: God’s creation points back to its Creator. Humanity is without excuse.
