Today's Scripture: “And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great.” Job 2:13, ESV 

Theme: Be the kind of friend who silently comforts. Don’t subsequently preach or give platitudes or reasons. 

Today's Scripture: “And the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?’” Job 1:8, ESV  

Theme: Living for God does not isolate you from the troubles and trials of the world. Bad things do happen to good people.  

Today’s Scripture: “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30, ESV 

Theme: The woman in Proverbs 31 is an example to the Church of God of the blessings God’s people see when we choose wisdom over foolishness.  

Today’s Scripture: “She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.” Proverbs 31:17, ESV 

Theme: Caring for our own needs--staying as active and strong as we can--allows us to bless and care for others. 

Today's Scripture:

“Those who are kind benefit themselves,

     but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.” Proverbs 11:17, NIV 

Theme: In all your relationships, build up and be kind, as Jesus has been kind to you. It will only bring more blessings into your life.
