Daily Devotions

Today’s Scripture: “I also persevered in the work on this wall, and we acquired no land, and all my servants were gathered there for the work.” Nehemiah 5:16, ESV 

Theme: Work diligently alongside those you lead because of your integrity and love for God, not in pursuit of affluence or respect. 

Today’s Scripture: “ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35, ESV) 

Theme: Being a disciple maker is only possible through love. 

Today’s Scripture: “And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.’” (Luke 9:22-23, ESV)  

Theme: Being a disciple-maker requires you to be willing to count the cost.  

Today’s Scripture: “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” (2 Timothy 2:2, ESV) 

Theme: Being a disciple-maker isn’t only for a select few, it’s for all believers. (It’s easy to hide “me” behind “we.”)  

Today’s Scripture: “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20, ESV) 

Theme: Being a disciple-maker isn’t something you do alone, but in partnership with God.
