Today’s Scripture: “I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:12-13, ESV

Theme: Following God with your whole heart does not guarantee carefree living. But your commitment honors God and He will reward you for it.

Today’s Verse: “And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ And he said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And he said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.’” Acts 9:4-6, ESV

Theme: Surrendering to God allows even the most misguided influencers to see, believe, and proclaim the truth.

Today’s Verse: “‘And let the young woman who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.’ This pleased the king, and he did so.” Esther 2:4, ESV

Theme: Pleasing the true King (God) rarely means pleasing the worldly king like it did for Esther; often pleasing the King does mean swallowing pride.

Today’s Verse: “Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life...’” John 6:68, ESV

Theme: The best option is always to turn to God and surrender to His will.

Today’s Verse: “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days. By faith Rahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.” Hebrews 11:30-31, ESV

Theme: A sacrifice is not real unless it costs you something.
