Daily Devotions

Today's Scripture: “And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him,” Luke 15: 27-28, ESV  

Theme: Seek to have grace for all members of the family, just as God did for us when He offered salvation to all.  

Today’s Scripture: “For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.” Luke 15:24, ESV 

Theme: Have grace for the wayward and celebrate when the lost are found!  

Today’s Scripture: “And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.” Luke 15:20, ESV 

Theme: Have compassion like the father and offer a way back, just as Jesus did for us. 

Today's Scripture: ““But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!’” Luke 15:17, ESV  

Theme: Theme: Be the kind of person who is available to servants and sons, generous with your resources, time, mercy, and love. 

Today’s Scripture: “And he called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits... So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent. And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them,” (Mark 6:7, 12-13, ESV). 

Theme: We can follow Jesus’ example with the twelve disciples to learn how to invest in and train up others.
