Tuesday PEACE COMES FROM GIVING THANKS

Today’s Scripture: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7, ESV

Theme: Whether or not God gives you a supernatural sign, when you pray with thanksgiving and requests, He will always provide peace through Jesus.

Monday - FIVE WAYS TO HEAR AND FOLLOW GOD

Today's Scripture: “Then Gideon said to God, ‘If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said, behold, I am laying a fleece of wool on the threshing floor. If there is dew on the fleece alone, and it is dry on all the ground, then I shall know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.’” Judges 6:36-37, ESV
Theme: God does care about our “small” concerns and will occasionally provide supernatural confirmation.

Friday - WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT

Today's Scripture: “And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here, I have made five talents more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’” Matthew 25:20-21, ESV 

Theme: The parable teaches us that, if we use what we have now wisely, whenever the end does come, we will be counted as faithful by our master.

Thursday - FRUIT EVEN IN THE STORMS

Today’s Scripture: “In the morning, as he was returning to the city, he became hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he went to it and found nothing on it but only leaves. And he said to it, ‘May no fruit ever come from you again!’ And the fig tree withered at once.” Matthew 21:18-19, ESV 

Theme: You may not be able to predict when the end is coming, however we do have clear instructions on how to “bear fruit” and evidence that we will be known by the “fruit” we produce.

Wednesday - THE LEAST OF THESE

Today's Scripture: "Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Matthew 25:34-35, ESV 

Theme: Feeding the poor does not save you; yet caring for the poor and hungry is an outcome of being a true believer who follows Jesus and does what He did.
